Last Friday, January 18, 2008, I was able to attend lectures from the country’s most sought after marketing experts at the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod. Ms. Carolina Escareal-Go and Mr. Josiah Go of Mansmith and Fielders were the resource persons. Such lecture would have cost a fortune if it wasn’t sponsored by the Insititute for Negros Development of the USLS-Graduate School. Local entrepreneurs as well as educators attended the event.

It’s interesting that it took a Singaporean to note that the Philippines is the Blog Capital of the World. He has also some nice things to say about Filipino friendliness and charm. Well, I’m quite flattered. It’s not everyday that you hear kind words from foreigners. This observation has come to light because of the number of Pinoys using Entrecard.

For those who don’t know it yet, Entrecard was launched in November 8, 2007 where you can drop your card on somebody’s blog in exchange for credits. You can even buy Ad space from other bloggers using 125 x 125 Ad format all in exchange for credits. The idea is like exchanging business cards. You gain credits by dropping your card to other blogs and when bloggers drop their card to yours. Simple but effective method for gaining traffic.
